VICE-PRESIDENT OF OUTPATIENT SERVICES
The Vice-President of Outpatient Services is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all outpatient operations. The VP of Outpatient Services must develop and implement a strategic plan, establish and monitor the marketing program, and maintain fiscal stability while ensuring a high level of quality care and services.
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in business with emphasis on healthcare or a Master’s degree in a clinical area with an emphasis on business required.
Minimum of ten (10) years of healthcare related management experience with demonstated progressive responsibility and advancement. Knowledge of business development and financial methods. Knowledge of outpatient program structure and reimbursement. Excellent organizational, administrative, and analytical skills required. Valid PA Driver's license required for travel to all Allied Services sites.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the implementation of organized management and operational functions of all adult and pediatric outpatient services. This includes establishing and maintaining effective and open lines of communication and authority among all outpatient managers and staff, as well as service sites. Establishes outpatient programs/services necessary to meet the needs of the population served. This included the collection and analysis of data regarding patient outcomes, patient/family satisfaction, and other data which may be used to improve the quality and scope of services. Ensures that the standards of care developed by Allied Services are implemented consistently throughout all outpatient service sites.
Develops and implements a strategic plan for outpatient services. Coordinates marketing related to outpatient services. Establishes a comprehensive performance improvement program with established baseline performance expectations to guide measurement and assessment activities. Insures proper collection and dissemination of outpatient statistics, reports, and other data as required. Prepares annual outpatient budget. Monitors the annual operating and capital budget for all clinics. Monitors staffing patterns and institutes changes as appropriate based on patient need. Works in conjunction with hospital administration to ensure seamless integration of outpatient services into the overall hospital structure and the continuum of care. Represents Allied Services to community agencies in matters regarding the delivery of outpatient services.
